Job description
Role Overview
As an Inbound Sales Executive, you will be the initial contact for New Zealand businesses interested in fuel card and payment solutions. Your mission is to convert inbound inquiries into excellent customer interactions, guiding prospects through a structured sales and application process. This position offers a chance to jumpstart your sales career with the support of coaching and training, even without extensive prior sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly and professionally address inbound inquiries via phone, web, and email.
- Ask insightful questions to assess customers' fleet size, fuel consumption, payment needs, and timing.
- Clearly communicate Corpay products, pricing, advantages, and application criteria.
- Transform viable inquiries into completed sales and applications.
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and applications to ensure clear next actions.
- Accurately maintain customer, lead, and opportunity data in Salesforce or CRM platforms.
- Prepare comprehensive applications and necessary documentation for credit evaluation.
- Send professional communications with application updates to customers.
- Collaborate with Credit, Customer Service, and Account Management teams to advance applications and resolve issues.
- Escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve sales processes and customer experience.
- Engage in coaching, training sessions, and team projects aimed at performance improvement.

Candidate Profile
- Possess NCEA Level 3 or equivalent practical experience.
- Exhibit clear, professional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Display confidence when speaking with customers by phone.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accurate data entry capabilities.
- Have basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
- Show good organizational skills, time management, and follow-up diligence.
- Be curious, positive, and open to coaching.
- Maintain resilience in handling customer objections and working toward targets.
- Comfortable with technology and adapting to new systems.
- Hold the legal right to work in New Zealand.
Preferred but Not Required Experience
- Background in inbound sales, contact centers, customer service, retail, or hospitality.
- Experience meeting activity, service, or sales targets.
- Familiarity with CRM, ticketing, or sales management systems.
- Exposure to account support, administration, or processing applications.
- Knowledge of B2B sales, fleet operations, fuel cards, or payment solutions.
