Role Overview

The Baker Helper performs all assigned tasks with professionalism and precision, ensuring outstanding customer service and satisfaction. This role demands strict compliance with Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies, Health & Safety standards, and other organizational initiatives. The Baker Helper contributes to a positive team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and dedication to the success of the Thrifty Foods team.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety requirements, and corporate policies
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Thrifty Foods’ policies and departmental procedures
• Carry out tasks under the Floor Maintenance Program to maintain store standards
• Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and well-presented continuously
• Operate equipment safely and appropriately
• Develop product knowledge and stay updated on product changes and seasonal needs
• Engage customers positively with eye contact and a friendly greeting
• Show reliability by being punctual, conscientious, and dependable
• Progress in operating ovens and preparing products efficiently
• Assist Bakery Supervisor by preparing materials, equipment, and managing inventory
• Receive, rotate stock, and handle bakery ingredients correctly
• Maintain cleanliness and safety according to company standards
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of bakery business and industry practices
