IBMS / ELV Project Manager

Overview

A leading multinational corporation operating a large Data Center is seeking experienced IBMS/ELV professionals to join their Data Center business team in Noida, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing IBMS equipment, performing sizing calculations, and developing service layouts specifically tailored for data center projects.
• Planning, designing, and engineering Integrated Building Management Systems encompassing security and safety services.
• Assessing various OEM systems and products to select an optimal combination based on specific project requirements.
• Preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and estimating costs for Security, Safety, and Building Management System packages.
• Ensuring that all designs align with customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and design standards, completed within established timelines.
• Reviewing detailed design submissions from consultants and leading efforts to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Taking full ownership of IBMS design, ensuring there are no deviations in Bill of Quantities (BOQs) during execution phases.
• Coordinating as design lead across all deliverables, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders, tracking progress, and presenting updates during weekly design meetings.
• Verifying system designs from vendors and consultants for compliance with project needs, applicable industry standards like TIA-942-B, and regulatory codes.
• Performing site inspections to confirm installations meet design specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Diagnosing and resolving system issues throughout installation and commissioning stages.
• Supervising and validating Chiller Plant Manager control logic, including operational sequences such as discharge and recharge modes of chilled water systems, chiller staging, rotation, and control settings.
• Providing design and testing/commissioning support to onsite execution teams.
• Applying expertise in designing Fire Systems, IBMS, Access Control, and CCTV systems.
• Handling budgeting responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Possesses a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Extensive experience in both designing and executing Security, Safety, and Building Management systems.
• Prior exposure to data center construction projects with practical design and execution experience.
• Familiarity with IT network concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD layouts, and conceptualize and design ELV (Extra Low Voltage) services.
• Strong vendor management skills and capable of managing internal and external client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills for leading technical discussions and presenting documentation to customers.
• Knowledge of data center equipment and environments, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of startup and commissioning procedures preferred.
• Experience ranging between 8 to 12 years overall.
• Data Center design experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to sites to support execution teams and contractors.
