Job description
Role Overview
As a Hygiene Team Member in Operations Support, you will play a vital role in maintaining impeccable hygiene and food safety standards within the facility. Your day-to-day tasks involve cleaning equipment and premises according to strict schedules, conducting in-depth cleaning activities, and performing complete shutdown cleans, including machinery dismantling, with training offered to support this.
This position requires resilience to handle repetitive tasks while sustaining excellent quality. While much of the work is conducted independently, confidence and initiative are essential to safely and efficiently carry out duties. Occasionally you will collaborate with the hygiene team to meet operational needs.
Key Duties
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning routines ensuring high hygiene standards.
- Complete thorough deep-clean and shutdown cleans, including stripping down machinery.
- Maintain hygiene documentation accurately to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and site-specific requirements.
- Uphold pest control protocols and adhere strictly to safe work systems to foster a safe workplace.
- Implement "clean as you go" practices and promote safety-minded behaviors to aim for accident-free operations.
- Support colleagues, help meet hygiene targets and ensure the production environment is consistently ready.
- Engage in available training programs for skill enhancement and career growth.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to assist operational functions.
Candidate Profile
- Preferably have prior experience in hygiene or industrial cleaning roles.
- Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Demonstrate a meticulous, conscientious approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Exhibit strong communication abilities and function well as part of a team.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of tasks when needed.
- Physically capable of bending, lifting, and accessing areas beneath machinery.
- Exemplary attendance, punctuality, and ability to adhere to deadlines and schedules.
- Sound understanding of top-tier hygiene standards.
