HVAC Technician

Position Summary

The HVAC Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), air quality control, and refrigeration systems. This includes performing daily inspections of the mechanical plant, controlling property temperature, analyzing energy and utility consumption, and calibrating equipment such as controls, gauges, and meters. The role requires assembling, installing, testing, and repairing electrical systems and electronic wiring, as well as pipe fittings, valves, and related components. Additionally, routine maintenance of pools and spas is part of the duties.

Work Environment and Safety

All company, safety, and security policies and procedures must be followed diligently. The technician is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing relevant safety training and certifications. Maintaining a professional, clean uniform and appearance is essential, as is protecting confidential company information and assets. The role demands moving in various physical conditions such as confined or elevated spaces, uneven or slippery surfaces, and the ability to lift or move heavy objects safely.

Interpersonal Skills

Technicians are expected to greet and assist guests professionally, meeting company standards for service. Effective communication and positive relationships with colleagues are necessary, including listening to and appropriately addressing their concerns. The role also involves upholding quality standards and finding innovative ways to improve organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• HVAC Certification.
