Job description
About the Role
We are assisting a leading sports betting operator in Germany to expand their HR team by recruiting a Human Resources Manager for their Düsseldorf office. This role is suitable for either recent graduates or professionals with 1 to 4 years of HR experience. The client operates in retail and online sports betting markets with plans to increase market share. Joining now offers a great chance to contribute to growth across different company functions.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the HR Director, managing all HR functions aligned with business goals.
- Lead recruitment efforts from sourcing to selection and collaborate with department heads on workforce planning.
- Design strategies to attract and retain talented employees and oversee onboarding procedures.
- Act as an advisor on HR issues primarily supporting shop staff, managing employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Encourage a diverse, respectful, and high-performance organizational culture, handling conflicts and investigations as needed.
- Manage performance evaluations, assist managers with setting objectives, and identify organizational training needs.
- Coordinate learning initiatives and support succession planning and talent programs.
- Oversee compensation and benefits, including salary reviews, benchmarking, incentives, and support payroll collaboration with finance and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies; maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Develop and refine HR policies and prepare HR-related reports for management.
- Support organizational change projects, advise leadership on structure and people strategies, and lead employee engagement and well-being programs.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the company.
- Administer the company’s vehicle fleet and car policy, handling allocations, leasing contracts, maintenance, and compliance with tax and driver documentation.
- Support employee inquiries and administrative tasks related to company cars, ensuring accurate fleet records and cost monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Several years of HR generalist experience, ideally including managerial responsibilities.
- Proficient understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR Information Systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI are advantageous.
