About the Role
This position demands a seasoned Human Resources Manager with a substantial background in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Power, EPC, Engineering, Industrial Services, Maintenance, and Shutdown & Turnaround operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing diverse workforces within fast-paced, project-driven industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead HR activities in support of Turnaround & Shutdown projects, overseeing aggressive manpower scale-ups, high-volume hiring, workforce mobilization, employee relations, onsite HR support, and post-project demobilization or redeployment processes.
- Manage HR functions for large-scale industrial maintenance and project initiatives primarily in Power, Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, or comparable heavy industry sectors.
- Supervise HR requirements for a diverse employee base including permanent staff, project-specific employees, contractors, skilled tradespeople, technicians, supervisors, engineers, and site personnel.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Project Management, Site Management, and senior executives to guarantee manpower availability and ensure project preparedness.
Requirements
- 10 to 15+ years of career progression in HR, with at least 5 years at managerial or senior HR business partner levels.
- Experience specifically within industrial/project settings emphasizing maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, outages, and project-focused operations.
- In-depth familiarity with UAE Labour Law, employee relations, workforce planning, mobilization and demobilization, compliance, and related HR governance.
- Previous exposure working in the GCC region, ideally with substantial UAE industrial or project experience.
- Industry experience in Turnaround & Shutdown projects, industrial and plant maintenance (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation), power plant and energy services, oil & gas and petrochemical maintenance, major plant outages, project mobilization/demobilization, skilled workforce deployment, industrial construction and maintenance, engineering and technical services, site-based workforce management.
