Job description
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions within the construction and manufacturing divisions, driving the implementation of HR strategies and policies that align with organizational objectives while ensuring compliance with UAE labor legislation. This pivotal position partners strategically with leadership to manage talent, foster employee relations, and optimize workforce performance in a project-intensive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute HR strategies tailored to support construction and manufacturing business units.
- Advise management on workforce planning, organizational structuring, and overseeing change initiatives.
- Lead recruitment efforts ensuring timely hiring of engineers, technicians, and labor workforce, meeting Emiratisation standards.
- Manage performance appraisal systems including goal setting and review processes, aid managers in addressing underperformance, and promote talent development.
- Handle employee relations matters such as grievances and disciplinary cases, fostering a positive workplace culture and high employee engagement.
- Supervise payroll and benefits administration, ensuring alignment with company policies and UAE labor law.
- Ensure thorough compliance with labor laws, company procedures, and audit requirements, managing HR administration including contracts and visa processes.
- Identify training requirements and implement programs targeting technical skills and leadership development, supporting career growth and succession planning.
- Oversee HR reporting and maintain accurate data through effective use of HR information systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- At least 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in HR, ideally within the construction industry, including a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience managing blue-collar and site-based employees.
- Certification such as CIPD or SHRM is advantageous.
