About the Role
TalentPop App, a rapidly expanding e-commerce business serving numerous global brands, is looking for a Human Resources Generalist based in Kenya to support its growing remote workforce. This position suits an HR professional passionate about engaging with people, addressing workplace challenges, and managing HR operations with precision and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for HR matters within the Kenya team.
- Provide support to employees regarding HR queries, concerns, and workplace-related issues.
- Conduct verifications such as background checks, credential validations, and medical certificate confirmations.
- Keep detailed and accurate employee and HR records.
- Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and exit interview procedures.
- Help employees with benefits enrollment, updates, and inquiries.
- Address and help resolve workplace concerns and conflicts.
- Prepare necessary HR documentation, reports, and communications.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
- Collaborate with Recruitment, People Operations, and HR leadership teams on various HR matters.
- Contribute to the improvement of HR processes leveraging technology and AI tools.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, People Operations, or a closely related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or an equivalent field.
- Experience handling employee documentation, record keeping, and verification procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities alongside strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and employment standards is advantageous.
- Prior experience with employee benefits, relations, or managing remote teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, HR software, verification platforms, reporting tools, or AI technology is beneficial.
Remote Work Requirements
- Possession of a personal laptop or desktop computer.
- Device equipped with Intel i5, Ryzen 5 processor, or equivalent.
- At least 8GB of RAM memory.
- Reliable internet connection with minimum 25 Mbps upload and download speed.
- Backup internet capable of at least 15 Mbps speed.
- Dependable power source and alternative workspace options.
