About the Role

Harvey Norman Ireland is seeking a seasoned HR professional to join their Head Office team in Swords, County Dublin, as an HR Business Partner. This role will be pivotal in supporting the company's growth by working closely with Store Managers and People Managers across various locations. Reporting directly to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Business Partner will contribute significantly to talent attraction, development, and retention, making this a unique and career-enhancing opportunity as the HRBP function is newly established within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Store Managers and senior leadership to offer expert advice on all HR-related aspects.
  • Assist with workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing, skills, and structure within the retail network.
  • Handle employee relations matters including grievances, absences, performance management, disciplinary actions, and capability issues.
  • Coach and mentor managers to enhance leadership skills and promote high performance throughout the organisation.
  • Support initiatives related to talent management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Drive efforts aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture across multiple sites.
  • Partner with operational leaders to develop and execute recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Lead and contribute to organisational change projects, business restructures, and transformation programs.
  • Advise on reward, recognition, compensation, and promotion practices aligned with company policies.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to uncover insights and opportunities that support business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with departments like Payroll, Learning & Development, and Health & Safety to deliver comprehensive people services.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with stores to build strong relationships and understand operational requirements.
  • Contribute to delivering HR strategies that enhance business performance, productivity, and customer experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline (mandatory).
  • Minimum three years of experience in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Current CIPD qualification or actively pursuing one.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Possession of a full, clean Driving License.
  • Data literacy and the ability to utilize evidence-based insights.

Additional Information

This position is a permanent contract with a six-month probation period. The ideal candidate is available for an immediate start. Attendance at a company induction day held in Dublin City Centre is required. The role is fully on-site based at the Head Office in Swords.
