Rixos Al Mairid seeks a dependable Housing Technician to maintain the staff accommodations by ensuring technical systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently. This encompasses preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems. The role is essential for fostering a comfortable and secure living environment for employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general fixtures within employee housing areas.
• Perform regular inspections of rooms, communal areas, and equipment to identify and promptly fix maintenance issues.
• Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and emergencies, minimizing disruption to occupants’ comfort and safety.
• Keep precise records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing for accountability and reporting.
• Manage inventory by monitoring tools, spare parts, and materials, reporting shortages and assisting with replenishment.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety standards and building codes during maintenance operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Supervisor of Employee Accommodation and other teams to coordinate maintenance efforts and support facility upgrades.
• Alert the Supervisor to major maintenance problems or safety issues needing additional attention or specialist intervention.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance workspaces, including correct handling and storage of tools and materials.
• Provide technical support during staff relocations, accommodation improvements, and special projects involving facility enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is beneficial.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in residential or hospitality environments.
• Competence with basic repairs, tools, and safe work practices.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Good communication abilities with a customer-focused attitude.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) or maintenance management software are advantageous.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting and carrying as necessary.
• Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and responsibility in job performance.

Food Safety and Hygiene

Oversee and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards concerning proper procurement, storage, handling, maintenance, communication, and preparation procedures across all departments.
