About the Role

Join a values-driven team committed to eliminating housing insecurity as a Housing Officer at Community Housing Ltd (CHL), a national not-for-profit organisation focused on providing sustainable housing solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of tenancy and property management duties including rent collection, arrears recovery, tenancy sign ups, lease and rent reviews, condition reports, exits, and maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure timely and accurate rental collection and arrears recovery processes.
  • Carry out condition inspections, manage tenancy sign-ups, oversee entry and exit procedures, and facilitate lease and rent reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with asset teams regarding maintenance of both occupied and vacated properties.
  • Prepare reports and manage complaints, compliance, quality, and accountability in line with CHL standards.
  • Maintain precise property and tenancy records using designated systems.
  • Represent CHL at Tribunal or Court proceedings as necessary.
  • Provide tenants with guidance and support to maintain sustainable tenancies.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum two years of experience in housing, tenancy, or property management roles.
  • Strong understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Proven skills in tenancy management, rent and arrears handling, compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to the challenges faced by individuals experiencing housing crises or complex support needs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including effective collaboration with support agencies and government bodies.
  • Passionate commitment to ensuring every person’s right to quality housing.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
