Primary Responsibilities

• Manage daily housekeeping activities ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are cleaned and prepared to high standards.
• Organize employee schedules, rostering, and task assignments.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to the housekeeping team to maintain motivation and performance.
• Inspect rooms for quality and speed of turnaround to meet operational goals.
• Monitor attendance records, timesheets, and manage leave requests.
• Lead regular staff meetings and deliver ongoing training sessions.
• Oversee adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Control inventory, including managing supplies and conducting monthly stocktakes.
• Coordinate with the Reception team regarding room statuses.
• Identify and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff.
• Handle guest and internal communications efficiently via email.
• Drive cost-effective management of the housekeeping department.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping processes and operational functions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
• Strong organizational abilities related to workforce scheduling and inventory management.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a well-presented demeanor.
• Ability to foster relationships throughout the hotel and with external suppliers.
