Role Overview
The role is a full-time, on-premise position based in Nagpur at Hotel Centre Point, focused on ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms, bathrooms, public corridors, and other hotel areas, conforming to established hygiene and appearance standards. Responsibilities primarily include bed making, replenishing guest amenities, managing linens and laundry, identifying maintenance needs, and safely handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
Additional duties involve addressing guest requests, preparing rooms for special requirements, and collaborating closely with housekeeping and front desk staff to maintain prompt availability of rooms. Adherence to hotel regulations, maintaining confidentiality, and following comprehensive safety and sanitation procedures are mandatory components of this role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent organizational abilities for managing cleaning schedules and linen inventory.
- Understanding of laundry processes such as sorting, washing, drying, and fabric care.
- Clear and courteous communication skills to coordinate team efforts and respond to guests.
- Strong customer service aptitude to foster a pleasant guest environment and effectively handle concerns.
- Willingness to engage in training covering housekeeping standards, health, and safety.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness and appearance.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is advantageous but not compulsory; a readiness to learn is essential.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions, complete checklists, and comprehend safety labels.
