Housekeeping Assistant

Overview

London Bridge Hospital is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to become a vital member of their Hotel Services team. This permanent full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, five days out of seven including weekends. Role Responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards across patient rooms, clinical areas, public spaces, and staff areas to ensure a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment.
• Engage courteously and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff to contribute positively to the patient experience.
• Perform assigned tasks promptly and efficiently as directed by supervisors or designated personnel.
• Participate in mandatory annual training sessions to remain compliant with hospital standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support the hospital’s operational smoothness and patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• A strong understanding of hygiene standards and a passion for maintaining high levels of cleanliness.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• The capacity to work well under pressure with a flexible, adaptable approach to shifting demands.
• Comfortable working within a hospital environment and preparedness to come into contact with patients.
