Housekeeping Assistant (Laundry & Cleaning)

About the Role

Join Infinite Aged Care as a Housekeeping Assistant where your efforts will ensure the residential care home stays clean, safe, and welcoming for residents. Under the guidance of the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will help sustain hygiene standards and a hazard-free environment similar to hotel or accommodation settings, covering individual rooms, communal spaces, and shared facilities. Your daily tasks will include cleaning dining rooms, lounges, hallways, the library, and resident bedrooms while adhering to hygiene protocols using appropriate equipment and housekeeping trolleys.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common and private areas such as dining spaces, hallways, lounges, libraries, and resident rooms.
• Strictly follow hygiene and safety procedures during cleaning operations using stable cleaning equipment.
• Ensure the workplace remains safe with no trip or hazard risks throughout the shift.
• Engage proactively with residents and assist in maintaining a clean and secure dining environment.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in laundry, cleaning, or similar supportive roles.
• A cooperative team player with a friendly, respectful, and courteous demeanor combined with a strong work ethic.
• Possess a warm, compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in resident care and engagement.
• A strong commitment to health and safety standards and clear communication within the team.
• Independently motivated with problem solving skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Dependable, hardworking, and flexible with availability for varied shifts.

Working Conditions

This physically demanding role involves daily activities such as bending, squatting, lifting, and maneuvering cleaning trolleys, requiring careful attention to safety to protect yourself, coworkers, and residents.
