Job Overview
Join the housekeeping team at Asher House, a service dedicated to mental health patients, and contribute to maintaining a safe and immaculate environment for vulnerable individuals. This role involves cleaning various areas of the facility including wards, offices, bedrooms, and visitor spaces, working closely with the maintenance team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold hospital security standards by adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Act as an active team member with diverse responsibilities in day-to-day operations.
- Maintain professional telephone manners and greet visitors courteously.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with staff, visitors, and service users.
- Contribute to fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Perform additional duties appropriate to the housekeeping role as assigned.
- Complete mandatory and statutory annual training required by the employer.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience cleaning in similar healthcare or related environments.
- Genuine enjoyment of cleaning tasks and pride in delivering quality work.
- Effective prioritization of duties and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to cleanliness and a high standard of detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Work Location
The position is based at Asher House, Third Avenue, Walton On The Naze, Essex, CO14 8JU. Asher House specializes in care for men with learning disabilities, autism, and sensory and communication challenges, providing a balanced environment of safety, dignity, and choice.
