Key Responsibilities

• Provide caring non-medical support tailored to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Engage clients socially through conversation, reading, and activities to boost companionship.
• Promote emotional wellness and mental alertness for clients.
• Carry out light housekeeping tasks including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and bathroom cleaning.
• Prepare meals suitable to client needs.
• Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or mental conditions promptly.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with both clients and colleagues.
• Complete all required documentation precisely and punctually.
• Participate actively in training sessions, staff meetings, and continuing education.
• Uphold confidentiality standards and safely operate any provided equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum completion of high school diploma.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain and maintain certification.
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Possession of reliable transportation along with a valid driver’s license and insurance is advantageous.
• Dependability, punctuality, and dedicated commitment to client care.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication abilities with aptitude for following verbal and written instructions.
• Deep-rooted passion for assisting others coupled with high standards of integrity and honesty.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Role requires routine physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting up to 12kg (25lbs).
• Manual dexterity and strength in both hands is necessary.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases.
