Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities
- Effective English communication skills with staff and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to manage and remember up to four orders simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer literacy
Key Duties
- Maintain cleanliness in community areas and individual resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning entryways, common spaces, dining rooms, hallways, patios, and apartments
- Clean and defrost refrigerators as necessary and inspect heat system filters in apartments
- Change beds and linens; ensure linen supplies remain adequate
- Turn mattresses with assistance when needed; empty waste baskets
- Conduct deep cleaning of apartments, especially main entry areas focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and lighting fixtures
- Launder linens using provided laundry facilities
- Adhere strictly to company sanitation and safety protocols
- Serve residents by greeting guests with a smile, offering beverages, cereals, soups, or salads from a cart
- Explain menus clearly, take meal orders, serve meals and desserts efficiently
- Return service cart to kitchen; assist with storage of perishable goods; deliver trays to resident rooms as required
- Clear and bus tables following meals; sanitize tables and chairs per food service guidelines; vacuum carpets
- Complete side tasks such as replenishing sugar holders, creamers, and cleaning coffee makers
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
