This Housekeeper role demands a strong commitment to cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction to create an inviting environment for hotel visitors. The position seeks an individual who values attention to detail and takes pride in their work to maintain organized, spotless rooms and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms and public areas to high standards.
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, mop floors, and tidy all surfaces.
- Pick up soiled linens and transport them to laundry; restock fresh linens on carts.
- Replenish room amenities such as towels, soaps, and toiletries.
- Respond promptly to guest requests including extra linens or other items.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and common area organization, including lobby duties.
- Report safety, maintenance, or housekeeping issues to supervisors.
- Follow protocols for lost and found, guest safety, and hotel policies.
- Greet guests courteously in public areas and anticipate their needs.
- Complete daily room cleaning tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment responsibly; report shortages or malfunctions.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude towards guests and fellow staff.
- Support hotel operations by fulfilling additional duties assigned by management.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures to ensure a secure setting for guests and employees.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to stand for long durations and physically maneuver throughout the facility.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 200 pounds.
- Frequent handling of cleaning tools and maintenance equipment.
- Basic literacy to understand work briefs, checklists, and guest requests.
- Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
