Job description
Job Overview
This full-time permanent role is exclusively open to current employees of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). Prospective candidates need approval from their line manager before applying for this secondment position. The primary responsibility is to assist ward managers in the unit's operation and carry out duties tailored to individual patient requirements, as directed by the Departmental Sister or Nurse in Charge.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment for both patients and visitors.
- Manage stock by ordering supplies and maintaining accurate stock control.
- Report any equipment requiring repairs or maintenance to the Engineering Biomedical Equipment (EBME) team.
- Handle ordering of medications from the Pharmacy, organize storage, check expiration dates, and return expired drugs to Pharmacy.
- Stay informed about waste categorization changes and ensure all staff members are aware by displaying relevant information.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and collaborate within teams.
- Utilize proficient IT skills for various tasks.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and coordination capabilities.
- Work independently, prioritizing duties efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to BCU values in all activities.
Welsh language skills are considered advantageous, but both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply equally.
