Key Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, non-medical care aligned with each client's personalized Plan of Care
• Engage clients through social interactions, including conversation, reading, and activities
• Support clients' emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Carry out light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and bathroom cleaning
• Prepare nutritious meals for clients
• Observe and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental status
• Maintain professional and clear communication with clients and team members
• Complete documentation accurately and punctually
• Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and continuous education
• Ensure confidentiality and use equipment appropriately
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain and maintain
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check clearance
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with insurance considered an asset
• Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to client care
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Genuine passion for caregiving with high standards of honesty and integrity

Physical & Work Environment

• Involves physical activities like standing, walking, bending, reaching and light lifting up to 12 kg (25 lbs)
• Requires manual dexterity and hand strength
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases
