Job Overview
Join Aramark Canada as a Housekeeper, where you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for guests and staff alike. This position requires dedication to detail, safety, and professional conduct to ensure our facilities meet high standards of hygiene and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and adaptable customer service to guests, clients, and coworkers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas including corridors and ancillary spaces, adhering to safety and preventative maintenance policies.
- Evaluate and apply appropriate cleaning techniques based on training and guidelines.
- Operate housekeeping tools and supplies safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Perform disinfection and sterilization of equipment and materials using germicides and sterilizing equipment.
- Follow universal precautions when handling and disposing of waste, including biohazard materials.
- Keep cleaning carts fully stocked and organized, ensure proper labeling of chemicals and good condition of equipment.
- Foster positive interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships while maintaining professionalism.
- Contribute to departmental productivity and operational efficiency.
- Pursue ongoing professional development by fulfilling training and competency requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in cleaning is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and team members.
- Capacity to adapt and respond effectively to changing work demands.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
This role involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Employees may be required to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
