Role Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all Baptist Health hospital and non-hospital areas. This role requires performing daily cleaning tasks effectively and efficiently, with additional related duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma, equivalent, or Alabama Essentials Pathway diploma is required.
• A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong communication and customer service capabilities are essential.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

• The job involves sitting for about 1% and requiring mobility for 99% of the workday.
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, hand use, and repetitive actions are expected.
• Regular lifting of weights between 10 to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling loads up to 100 pounds is required.
• Candidates must have reading and writing proficiency along with good near and distant vision.
• Manual dexterity and ability to interact professionally with peers, customers, and management are necessary.
• Safely handling chemicals and dust is required, along with flexibility regarding shift start and end times.

Work Details

• Primary work location: Baptist Health Resource Center, Montgomery, AL.
• This is a full-time, regular position working the second shift.
