Job description
Position Overview
The Housekeeper role involves promptly addressing guest requests and coordinating with various departments. Responsibilities include preparing and transporting supply carts, entering guest rooms following strict procedures to ensure vacancy and security, replenishing amenities and linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing waste, and ensuring all appliances are functional.
Key Duties
- Fill carts with necessary supplies and deliver to assigned locations.
- Enter rooms in accordance with access protocols and verify vacancy before entry.
- Restock guest room amenities and supplies accurately.
- Change out dirty linens and terry for clean replacements; make beds and fold terry items.
- Clean and maintain bathroom areas thoroughly.
- Remove trash, soiled linens, and leftover room service items.
- Check that all appliances are present and operational.
- Organize furniture, desk items, and appliances; dust and polish surfaces, including removing marks from walls and furnishings.
- Vacuum carpets and perform other floor care duties within rooms and hallways.

- Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report hazards, accidents, and maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Handle flammable materials with care and store them properly.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect the confidentiality of proprietary company information.
Guest Relations
- Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly according to company standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and assist individuals with disabilities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Express genuine appreciation to guests during interactions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently, and heavier items with support.
- Push and pull loaded housekeeping carts over uneven or sloped surfaces.
- Engage in repetitive physical movements including bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods during a shift.
- Utilize fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling objects of various sizes and weights.

The position is full-time, non-management, and located onsite at 405 20th Street East, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (S7K 6X6). There is no formal education or prior experience required, nor supervisory experience or certifications necessary.
