Job description
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Brooklands Care Home located on Costessey Lane in Norwich. This full-time contract role involves working 35 hours weekly, including weekday and weekend shifts, focusing on ensuring all areas of the home are impeccably clean and maintained, while engaging compassionately with our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to daily cleaning schedules to maintain all parts of the home, including corridors, toilets, and residents' rooms, ensuring top standards of cleanliness.
- Interact kindly and respectfully with residents, upholding their dignity and offering a friendly, caring presence.
- Comply with all applicable regulations and requirements such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standards Act.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and materials safely, ensuring proper storage and functionality.
- Report any incidents or maintenance concerns promptly to the home manager.
Candidate Requirements
No specific prior qualifications or experience are necessary as comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, attentive to comfort and wellbeing, and eager to positively impact the lives of residents and colleagues alike.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of .88.
- 35 hours per week with shifts on weekdays and weekends.
