Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Kaplan Living in Brighton. The position involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within student accommodation, focusing on communal spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and lounges. Ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for students is key, alongside reporting maintenance concerns, replenishing supplies, and supporting resident wellbeing.
Working Hours & Contract Details
The role is permanent and full-time, requiring 37.5 hours weekly. Working hours are from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Sunday.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or student service environments, preferably within hotels or student accommodation.
- Capability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer care abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player attitude and willingness to share knowledge.
- Commitment to Kaplan Living’s philosophy of providing 'more than just a room.'
- Championing COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Health & Safety standards.
- Passion for customer care with sensitivity to students' needs.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and flexibility with working hours.
- Maintain confidentiality in all duties.
