Hotel Porter

Role Overview

As a Hotel Porter, you will be an integral member of the Hotel team, responsible for upholding cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards throughout guest and back-of-house areas. You will ensure an exceptional customer experience by providing a safe and welcoming environment for guests, members, and staff, particularly during night shifts. Your efforts will contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the Hotel, supporting team and hotel's goals.

Key Duties

• Adaptability to assist the housekeeping team with cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, private areas, and Airbnb accommodations.
• Act as a brand ambassador by delivering a warm, friendly, and consistently outstanding customer service experience that sets the hotel apart.
• Address customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively at the first point of contact.
• Maintain cleanliness across all Estate areas.
• Perform laundry runs throughout the Estate; possessing a valid UK driving licence is mandatory.
• Collaborate with the Events Coordinators to plan and execute room preparations.
• Prepare the Conference Centre for upcoming daily events.
• Assume Night Porter duties, including associated hours and tasks, in the Night Porter’s absence.
• Assist the Maintenance team by supporting internal and external cleanliness upkeep.

Required Skills and Experience

• Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to maintain composure and work efficiently under pressure.
• The role demands physical fitness and practical dexterity to manage mental and physical challenges.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience or knowledge working in a hotel setting.
• First aid certification is advantageous.
