Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Duty Manager for our Premier Inn located in Dublin City Centre (Temple Bar). This permanent role involves working 30 hours per week with shifts including evenings, weekends, and peak guest times. The hourly wage is up to €17.65. Situated at 51 Stephen Street Lower, Dublin, this position requires active leadership throughout the hotel operations during your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hotel shifts, providing clear briefings before busy periods.
- Offer support and coaching to team members across departments including reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant.
- Assist guests by resolving inquiries and addressing problems promptly.
- Engage hands-on with teams throughout the hotel to maintain smooth operations.
- Identify and resolve issues efficiently to uphold service standards.
- Ensure guest safety and that the hotel operates according to protocols.
- Collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager and leadership team.
Candidate Profile
Previous hotel experience is not required; many successful Duty Managers come from retail, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service backgrounds. Ideal candidates have experience leading teams in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments such as team leader, supervisor, shift or assistant manager roles. You should be confident in decision-making, enjoy assisting others, and remain composed under pressure.
