Role Overview
We are seeking a Hostess who understands the impact of a sincere smile, confident greeting, and meticulous attention on guest experience. Serving as the face of our dining outlet, you will warmly welcome guests and ensure the seamless operation of the restaurant behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every guest warmly with hospitality characteristic of Paramount.
- Create an inviting and lasting first impression for all visitors.
- Oversee host stand operations, reservation book, and daily seating plans.
- Prepare and ensure the restaurant is ready for service prior to opening.
- Inspect guest areas—including dining room, tables, and menus—to maintain quality standards.
- Deliver attentive and personalized service to every guest.
- Manage walk-in and waiting guests alongside reservations professionally.
- Provide details about buffet offerings and assist guests as needed.
- Answer calls courteously, handle bookings, and offer information about hotel and restaurant facilities.
- Anticipate and respond flexibly to guest requests.
- Warmly bid farewell and encourage guests to revisit.
- Keep the hostess stand tidy and well-organized throughout shifts.
- Support the Food & Beverage team with operational tasks as required.
- Collaborate closely with F&B staff and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Candidate Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage.
- Minimum 2 years in a similar Hostess role within a luxury five-star international hotel.
- Experience working in upscale hotel restaurants serving international guests.
- Proven ability working within multicultural teams.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Warm, approachable demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently without compromising service quality.
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Familiarity with Micros POS system is advantageous.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hotel Management qualification.
- Training in up-selling techniques.
- HACCP certification.
- WSET Level 1 certification.
