Role Description

The Host represents the initial point of contact for all guests, making it essential to create a welcoming and positive first impression at the entrance. Hosts greet guests, escort them to their tables, or notify them via the pager system. Additionally, they serve as guides, entertainers, advisors, memorabilia experts, and musicians at heart.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening doors when necessary
• Welcoming and thanking guests
• Responding courteously and accurately to guest inquiries
• Ensuring the waiting area is tidy and organized
• Answering telephone calls
• Guiding guests through various parts of the restaurant
• Maintaining the safety of staff, guests, and VIPs
• Assisting servers, bussers, and managers as needed
• Preparing and clearing the workstation including cleaning windows, polishing metal, sweeping, vacuuming floors, cleaning menus, and checking guest restrooms
• Ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
• Creating memorable Hard Rock Cafe experiences for guests
• Serving guests following the Hard Rock motto

Requirements

• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for prolonged periods
• Maintaining a neat and professional appearance
• Adhering to uniform guidelines
• Following safety and hygiene standards
• Practicing waste recycling wherever possible
• Remaining calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Exhibiting strong organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
• Demonstrating a friendly and open attitude towards guests and colleagues
• Upholding the 5 Hard Rock Cafe core values and mission statement

Additional Information

This location may provide additional Host training for roles such as RSA (Rock Shop Associate). Interested candidates are encouraged to review the job description for the RSA position as well.
