About Us
Presbyterian Support Central (PSC) is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting people during vulnerable phases of their lives, including elderly individuals requiring care and families facing challenging situations. PSC operates under two prominent brands: Enliven, which provides positive ageing services fostering age-friendly communities filled with companionship and purpose; and Family Works, which offers social support services including counseling, social work, life skills, parenting programs, and safety initiatives.
Role Overview
The newly established Hospitality Coordinator position involves strategic leadership and management of hospitality operations across Enliven's residential homes. This part-time role (32 hours weekly) centers on providing expert guidance, spearheading improvements, and ensuring consistent high-quality hospitality services tailored to the complex needs of residents.
The position demands coordinating recruitment, training, and education of hospitality teams, overseeing budget management, ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety standards, and applying digital tools for menu and kitchen management. The role also requires travel across Enliven Homes in the Lower and Central North Island, potentially including overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on food service, catering, and associated laundry and cleaning operations.
- Implement and manage digital menu and kitchen management software.
- Monitor and analyze quality and performance indicators to drive service improvements.
- Identify risks and ensure compliance with best practice operational models.
- Regularly review and refine policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to hospitality services.
- Manage procurement processes and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Coordinate internal audits and quality assessments of food services.
- Create memorable dining experiences for residents, enhancing mealtimes and celebrations.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a diploma or higher qualification in hospitality, hotel, or food services.
- Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, infection prevention, auditing, and quality assurance.
- Technologically adept with experience implementing and training teams on digital menu systems.
- Strong communication skills capable of translating complex regulations and standards into practical, team-friendly procedures.
- Committed to continuous personal development and willing to undertake further training supported by Enliven.
- Hold a valid driver's license with flexibility to work adaptable hours.
- Preferably have hospitality experience in residential aged care or related healthcare settings.
