Overview
Take your optical skills on the road as a Home Visits Optical Assistant, delivering eye care directly to individuals unable to visit stores. This role offers dynamic work environments with varied locations throughout the Essex region, covering an area from Romford to Colchester and from Bishop's Stortford to Southend-on-Sea. Expect the chance to engage closely with your community, providing essential sight care and brightening people's days.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients receiving home visits.
- Operate across multiple test locations within the designated region, adapting to differing settings daily.
- Drive to patients’ homes, ensuring punctual and professional service delivery.
- Dispense lenses accurately at all required levels.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a full UK driving licence with confident and safe driving abilities.
- Have at least six months to one year of recent optical experience, capable of dispensing lenses at all levels.
Preferred Background
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Additional prior experience within optical services is advantageous.
What We Offer
- Salary can reach up to £29,000 per annum, with a combined package potentially rising to £35,000 dependent on experience.
- Annual car allowance of £3,000.
- Performance-based bonuses ranging approximately from £2,000 to £3,000 per year.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with some flexibility required.
