About the Role

Join the Silverchain team in Kempsey as a compassionate Home Care Worker supporting elderly community members to sustain their independence at home and improve their wellbeing. This position involves various home help services aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of aged clients.

Compensation and Benefits

• Guaranteed shift hours providing stable employment
• Award wage of $32.61 per hour, including superannuation and paid travel expenses

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning, mopping, and vacuuming
• Manage laundry duties including washing, folding, and ironing
• Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping
• Offer social support and transportation to lifestyle activities
• Provide respite for family carers, giving them time for personal activities

Mandatory Requirements

• Possess a valid Open Class Australian Driver's Licence and own a reliable, insured vehicle
• Interest or experience in community or aged care is preferred but not essential
