Overview
Join the vibrant team of Home Assessors at Australia's fastest expanding insurance provider. In this pivotal role, you will evaluate damages to residential properties, collaborate with approved home repairers and internal claims staff to determine optimal repair solutions, all while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical or virtual inspections of client homes to document building damage consistent with policy coverage.
- Develop detailed and precise Scopes of Work to guide remediation efforts for insured claims.
- Provide technical expertise by reviewing specialist reports and advising the claims team on policy interpretations.
- Submit and review reports and related documentation promptly, adhering strictly to service level agreements.
- Recommend the most effective and economically sound repair methods for damaged properties.
- Uphold the company’s values and deliver outstanding customer service experiences.
- Perform customer satisfaction evaluations pertaining to building repair outcomes.
- Manage and coordinate projects involving complex or large-loss claims.
- Meet defined key performance indicators consistently.
- Conduct virtual or desktop assessments and initial claim triage processes.
- Comply with all relevant statutory, industry, and company standards and policies.
- Be prepared to travel interstate to support catastrophe (CAT) events as needed.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience overseeing quality construction work and driving customer satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and best practices.
- Skilled in preparing accurate and detailed scopes of work.
- Excellent abilities in managing time and organizing tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication capabilities combined with conflict resolution expertise.
- Experience in managing, mentoring, and evaluating builders and contractors.
- Established ability to cultivate effective working relationships with tradespeople and builders.
- Insurance industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
