These technicians operate in U-Haul Moving and Storage Center lots, delivering exceptional service to customers by leveraging their technical expertise.

Compensation and Incentives

U-Haul operates under the principle 'Hire Fast, Pay Fast.' Selected candidates can begin immediately and receive pay on the same day. By completing two hands-on working interviews, you get paid for each session. Additionally, there's a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 bonus upon successful completion of the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification under the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and clearly communicate the various towing packages offered by U-Haul
• Recommend and install the appropriate tow package tailored to customer vehicles
• Deliver outstanding customer service and support to clients
• Carry out additional duties as assigned
• Engage in consistent learning and development through U-Haul University

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Basic understanding of wiring and proficiency using hand and power tools
• Completion of high school education or equivalent certification

Work Conditions

The role involves exposure to moderate hazards that require following safety procedures. This includes working around moving machinery, exposure to fumes or chemicals, and the necessity to use protective wear like masks, gloves, goggles, or shields.

Physical Requirements

This job demands physical activities such as standing for extended periods indoors and outdoors, navigating confined spaces, stretching to access and work with tools, and lifting or assisting in moving items weighing at least 50 pounds.
