Hitch Service Technician

Position Overview

If you enjoy hands-on work and want to develop technical skills, U-Haul is looking for a diligent and knowledgeable individual to join as a Hitch Service Technician. In this role, you will work at U-Haul Moving and Storage Center lots to provide excellent service through your technical expertise related to vehicle towing packages.

Key Duties

• Become proficient in U-Haul's towing packages selection
• Advise customers and install appropriate tow packages on their vehicles
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support
• Perform additional assigned tasks
• Engage in continuous learning through U-Haul University programs

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an ability to maintain a clean driving record
• Basic knowledge of wiring as well as experience with hand and power tools
• Completion of High School or an equivalent qualification

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role can present moderate hazards requiring safety precautions, such as working near moving machinery, fumes, or chemicals. Protective gear like masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be needed. Physically, the job demands handling activities both indoors and outdoors, including repetitive positions, navigating confined spaces, and lifting or maneuvering weights up to 50 lbs, either assisted or independently.
