About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic Plant & Tool division. This role requires enthusiasm for relationship building, problem solving, and managing a busy depot environment. As the key first point of contact for customers, you will deliver excellent service and support business growth by handling hire requests, coordinating logistics, and resolving issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple equipment hire transactions daily across a diverse range of plant and tool inventory.
- Oversee hire desk administration and efficiently address queries from customers and suppliers.
- Ensure stock availability meets customer demand and seek opportunities to increase sales.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and fitters to guarantee prompt collections and deliveries.
- Handle customer complaints and supplier concerns professionally and effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a high-volume hire desk or similarly fast-paced setting is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills combined with a sales-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient with IT tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative.
- Experience in the plant and tool hire sector is beneficial, though enthusiasm to learn is equally valued.
