Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced HIL Testing Engineers proficient in Python automation to strengthen our Automotive Embedded Validation team. This role involves hands-on participation in ECU testing, HIL simulation, and test automation, with a focus on ensuring high-quality automotive embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and automate HIL test cases to validate ECUs.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks based on Python.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system level testing of automotive embedded software.
- Utilize Vector tools including CANoe, CANalyzer, and VT System for testing purposes.
- Perform HIL testing using Typhoon HIL simulators.
- Analyze and troubleshoot test results; document and report validation findings.
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and system engineering teams to ensure effective validation.
- Maintain adherence to automotive testing quality standards and compliance requirements.
Key Skills
- Expertise in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in Python for test automation.
- Experience with ECU testing and validation techniques.
- Hands-on knowledge of Vector tools: CANoe, CANalyzer, VT System.
- Familiarity with Typhoon HIL simulation platforms.
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with diagnostic protocols including UDS, XCP, DoIP, and SOME/IP.
- Experience with CAPL scripting language.
- Knowledge of automotive embedded systems domain.
Candidate Profile
- 4 to 9 years of experience in automotive embedded testing.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
- Proven experience operating HIL test benches and executing ECU validations.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
