Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Height Safety Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with analyzing site drawings, conducting evaluations, and delivering accurate cost estimates for fall protection and height safety systems, including roof access solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural, roof plans, and engineering specifications to assess height safety system demands.
• Compute detailed labor, material, and equipment costs to develop precise quotes and tender submissions.
• Perform site visits for pre-construction surveys and risk evaluations when necessary.
• Ensure all pricing aligns with applicable workplace health and safety regulations and fall protection standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, builders, suppliers, and safety consultants to negotiate and finalize proposals.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years estimating experience within height safety, roofing, metal fabrication, or general construction sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of height safety standards like AS/NZS 1891, workplace health and safety regulations, anchor points, static lines, and guardrail standards.
• Competent in using estimating software and plan-reading tools such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and ability to convey detailed quotations effectively to clients.
• Self-motivated with sound judgment, capable of maintaining high accuracy while working remotely.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple estimates, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Qualifications in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or related disciplines are advantageous but not mandatory.
• A solid understanding of workplace health and safety principles with a dedication to fostering safe work environments.
