Role Overview
This full-time position, located onsite in Limerick, involves the safe driving and operation of heavy goods vehicle concrete pump trucks. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting the concrete pumps to construction sites, ensuring prompt and accurate concrete placement as per project needs. Duties include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, carrying out routine maintenance, and setting up and operating the pumps at the job site. Monitoring equipment performance, following safety protocols, collaborating with site supervisors and clients, and maintaining precise delivery documentation are critical to this role. Representing the company professionally at all times is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven skills in operating heavy goods vehicles and concrete pump trucks safely.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities for effective site and client interactions.
- Prior experience with concrete pumps or related construction machinery is highly desirable.
- Knowledgeable in traffic laws and health and safety standards relevant to roadways and construction sites.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical inspections, resolve minor equipment issues, and report maintenance needs clearly.
- Willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions across various weather environments and manage physically intensive tasks.
- Background in construction, concrete work, or allied industries is advantageous.
