Heavy Equipment Operator Assessor

Overview

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator Assessor to become part of our Certification Team, responsible for conducting pre-screening assessments of contractor personnel involved in Saudi Aramco projects based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This position involves performing both practical and written evaluations to verify operator skill and qualification for handling various heavy machinery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess valid, personal operator certifications for multiple heavy equipment types such as Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Grader, Wheel Loader, Skid Loader, Backhoe Loader, or Sideboom/Telehandler.
• Have at least five years of direct experience operating heavy equipment.
• Hold a minimum of three years’ formal experience serving as an instructor or trainer for heavy equipment operators.
• Possess at least three years of formal competency assessment or certification experience, focusing on evaluating operator qualifications rather than conducting safety or equipment inspections.
• Having assessor qualification credentials (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, Highfield Train the Trainer) is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in English language skills (reading and writing) and intermediate Microsoft Office capabilities.

Role Clarifications

• This role does not include responsibilities as an HSE or Safety Officer.
• It is not concerned with mechanical or equipment inspections.
• Previous safety compliance or audit experiences do not qualify as relevant operator assessment experience for this position.
