Role Overview
The Heavy Duty Cleaner position involves maintaining cleanliness of hard floors, carpets, washrooms, and common areas, as well as managing garbage collection and disposal. Duties may extend to other cleaning tasks as assigned.
Work Schedule
Full-time employment from Monday to Friday.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors, stairs, and other interior surfaces.
- Perform stripping, waxing, steam carpet cleaning, and window washing upon request.
- Clean windowsills, interior door glass, partitions, and designated windows.
- Wash and spot clean interior walls and clean entrances, both interior and exterior glass and trims.
- Clean restrooms daily and replenish paper products, including procedures like wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste receptacles, servicing soap and toilet dispensers, dusting ledges, cleaning tile walls, shelves, and partitions, and sanitizing floors.
- Assist supervisors with additional tasks as needed.
- Monitor issues such as clogged urinals or non-functional lights and report them accordingly.
- Move between two separate buildings located across the street from each other, including shower facilities.
- Collect and dispose of trash daily following approved procedures and replace liners in waste containers as specified.
- Conduct high dusting, wash walls, operate compactors, and handle lifting of items up to 50 pounds using heavy-duty equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to follow directions, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in operating cleaning tools and machinery.
- Possession of personal transportation to commute between buildings.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to excellent service quality, organizational skills, and stamina for physically demanding tasks.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
