Job Overview

The Heavy Duty Cleaner role involves thorough cleaning duties within various facilities including hard floors, carpets, washrooms, offices, and common areas. The position also includes garbage collection and disposal and may include additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs, and other indoor surfaces with care and consistency.
• Clean windowsills, interior door glass, partitions, and designated windows to high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrance doors — both glass and trim — inside and outside; perform daily spot cleaning on interior walls as necessary.
• Clean restrooms thoroughly, ensuring to restock supplies such as paper products daily. Specific tasks include wiping glass surfaces, emptying wastebaskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting window sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and scrubbing floors.
• Assist supervisors with additional tasks requiring employee support.
• Identify and report issues like clogged urinals and non-functional lighting to supervisors promptly.
• Regularly collect building trash and place it in approved containers, then relocate to designated collection points for removal.
• Replace liners in waste and trash bins according to specifications.
• Carry out high dusting and wall washing duties.
• Perform other cleaning or maintenance duties as assigned.

• Ability to follow instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with operating cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Possession of reliable personal transportation.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organizational skills, and physical stamina and energy to handle job demands.
• Willingness and ability to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
