Healthcare Cleaner

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our team at Churchill Hospital, Oxford. This permanent full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, hospital staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all assigned cleaning duties diligently, following checklists and leveraging provided guidance and training.
• Perform manual and mechanical cleaning tasks as scheduled.
• Manage waste by collecting, segregating, and disposing of materials correctly, and replace liners in accordance with policy.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests and provide additional cleaning support when needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols by properly using work equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly report any safety concerns or incidents to the line manager.

Requirements

• While prior experience in various cleaning tasks is advantageous, it is not mandatory due to comprehensive training provided.
• Applicants must have sufficient English language proficiency to understand instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Terms of Employment

This role is based at Churchill Hospital, Oxford (OX3 7LE) and is a full-time, permanent position. The hourly wage is £12.92. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00.
