Key Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering comprehensive, high-quality care tailored to residents' needs.
• Maintain residents' hygiene and personal care while preserving their dignity consistently.
• Support residents with eating and drinking according to their nutritional requirements.
• Help residents mobilize appropriately, utilizing correct aids when necessary.
• Escort and transfer residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Provide support in End of Life Care situations.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by nurses and management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a QQI/FETAC qualification or equivalent experience in a similar caregiving environment.
• Demonstrated practical experience in providing care is preferred.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Exhibit professionalism, empathy, and a caring attitude.
• Comfortable managing challenging situations that may arise in the workplace.
• Proficiency in English language communication.
• Availability for flexible shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, and across the full week (Monday to Sunday).
