About the Role
Join the renowned luxury café and all-day dining restaurant brand located in prime locations across Westminster. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head Waiter to lead our front-of-house team, contribute to staff training, and uphold exceptional guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and assist the waiting team during service hours to ensure smooth operation.
- Train both new hires and existing waitstaff in top-tier table service and guest care.
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally, maintaining a high level of hospitality.
- Uphold excellent standards in communication, presentation, and overall restaurant ambiance.
- Oversee the restaurant floor daily, supporting order taking, service, and responding to guest needs.
- Coach staff on upselling techniques, menu details, allergen information, and service procedures.
- Monitor and provide constructive feedback to enhance service quality.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant to ensure readiness for service.
- Collaborate closely with managers, bartenders, kitchen teams, and other departments.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter, Supervisor, or similar role within a quality restaurant environment.
- In-depth knowledge of premium restaurant service standards.
- Previous experience in training or mentoring front-of-house staff.
- Strong communication skills paired with a positive and calm demeanor under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a guest-centric mindset.
- Capability to maintain a well-organized, clean, and controlled restaurant environment.
- Professional appearance and confidence in customer interaction.
- Availability to work full-time hours including weekends and peak periods.
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom is mandatory.
