Role Overview
As the Head Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial part within the kitchen team by supporting staff training and managing rotas while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and smooth operations. This demanding, hands-on position involves assisting chefs during service and upholding stringent hygiene and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and organization during service.
- Wash dishes, pots, and kitchen tools to meet high standards.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation and general tasks as needed.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling with responsibility.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and organizing stock effectively.
- Uphold strict food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Dependable and diligent with a proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork and takes pride in quality work.
- Well-organized and capable of working efficiently under pressure.
- Previous kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
