Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HCL Commerce Developer to lead and deliver technical projects enhancing consumer-facing digital experiences. The role requires developing and maintaining features within WebSphere/HCL Commerce Suite and Spring Boot microservices, ensuring scalability, performance, and security compliance. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate actively in agile workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical project delivery impacting consumer digital platforms.
- Develop and sustain functionalities within WebSphere/HCL Commerce Suite and Spring Boot microservices.
- Adapt quickly to changing marketing and business needs through rapid implementation.
- Guarantee platform scalability, reliability, and performance meets digital operational standards.
- Investigate and resolve performance or availability issues in the eCommerce system.
- Document functional and technical aspects of assigned projects thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance engineering methodologies.
- Engage closely with stakeholders and technology partners to fulfill project timelines.
- Produce clean, efficient, and secure code adhering to best practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting alongside business and support teams.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Continuously update platforms by integrating current retail technology trends to align with business objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience with at least 2 years in eCommerce development.
- Proficiency with WebSphere/HCL Commerce Suite implementations preferred.
- Knowledge of web architecture and IT security standards such as SOX and PCI compliance.
- Experience designing and developing backend microservices utilizing Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with modern server-side technologies including REST, JPA, Kafka, and Swagger.
- Ability to write effective unit and API tests.
