Job Overview

We seek a dependable and skilled Handyperson to perform general upkeep, repairs, and maintenance across our premises. The ideal candidate should be proficient with various hand and power tools, capable of working autonomously, and committed to delivering safe and high-quality results.

Primary Duties

• Execute general repair and maintenance tasks throughout the property.
• Handle basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, tiling, and minor electrical work if suitably qualified.
• Assemble, install, repair, and maintain fixtures, fittings, furniture, and equipment.
• Detect maintenance problems and report specialized work requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and order in work areas.
• Care for tools and equipment, reporting any defects or needs for replacement.
• Respond swiftly to maintenance requests, prioritizing urgent repairs.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Keep accurate documentation of completed tasks and used materials.
• Interact professionally and courteously with staff, clients, contractors, and visitors.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in handyperson duties, maintenance, property management, construction, or related fields.
• Strong practical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Competence in safely operating hand and power tools.
• Capability to perform a wide range of routine maintenance tasks.
• High attention to detail with excellent workmanship standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Dependable, punctual, and adaptable approach to work.
• Possession of a full UK driving license is preferred when site travel is required.
• Relevant trade certifications are advantageous.

Working Environment

The position may involve physical activities such as lifting, carrying, working at height, bending, and kneeling, as well as working both indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions. Necessary personal protective equipment and training will be provided as needed.
